Quotes and Estimates

Nottingham Removals and Storage are always happy to provide free removal quotes, estimates and moving advice. Before requesting an estimate or quote, please consider the following advice.

For office moves and full house removals we would normally visit your premises to survey what is to be moved and to discuss any special requirements.

If you only have a few items to move or you are simply looking for indicative costs, then we can provide an estimate based on a telephone consultation.

When providing a free no-obligation written quote or estimate for your move there are many factors that we need to take into account.

For single items or smaller moves, then we would consider

• what is being moved
• the number of drivers / porters required
• the size of vehicle(s) required

If you are contacting several removal companies to request quotes, then it is worthwhile summarising the key points of your move so that the same information is conveyed to each removal company.

For a full house removal then we would also consider the following factors

• where you are moving from and to (the type of property and number of bedrooms, number of floors)
• if there are any access issues to contend with, e.g. stairs or lift
• how close to the property can the removal van be placed for loading / unloading
• the number of porters and drivers required
• the size of vehicle(s) required
• packing requirements (if you are packing and unpacking your own possessions or if we are to pack or unpack)
• storage requirements e.g. do you want to declutter your house before moving

For long distance moves

• the distance travelled
• whether any expenses (e.g. ferries, hotels, parking permits, specialist equipment) are required to execute your move
