VOSA
Nottingham Removals and Storage are licenced by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency as an Authorised Vehicle Operator. Our operator licence number is OB1055299.
This is essential to ensure we can operate our own fleet of removal vehicles and continue to maintain them to the standards required by VOSA. Our vehicles are inspected on a regular basis and receive maintenance when required to ensure they are safe and mechanically fit for purpose.
RHA
Nottingham Removals and Storage are members of the Road Haulage Association.
From an operational perspective this keeps in us in touch with emerging issues within the industry and to comply with the myriad of legislation surrounding the operation of a fleet of removal vans and trailers.
Licenced Waste Carriers
Nottingham Removals and Storage are licenced by the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier & Broker (CB). Our registration number is CB/DN5418SB.
Without this licence in place, we would not be able to offer any services related to the disposal of waste. We dispose of confidential waste and end-of-life furniture and equipment.
Going Green
Nottingham Removals and Storage would not claim to be a wholly green company. All we can say is that we strive to carry out our operations as efficiently as possible. This efficiency leads to the reduction in impact of our business on the environment.
We try to reduce the impact of our business on the environment by
- Minimising running empty vehicles
- Using removal vehicles with crew cabs
- Using the right size vehicle for the job
- Intelligently planning routes
- Recycle or reuse wherever possible and put waste into landfill as a last resort
- Having well maintained vehicles
